Meet Our Doctors!
Bridget Frio, O.D.
Dr. Bridget Frio, a 2004 graduate from Binghamton University with a B.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology and a 2009 graduate with a Doctorate in Optometry from Salus University.
Dr. Frio has been providing eye care to the Syracuse area in a variety of settings, including busy ophthalmology practices and the VA Hospital. She is a member of several Associations, including the American Optometric Association, NYS Optometric Association and Treasurer of the CNY Optometric Association. With over 10 years of experience in medically managing a variety of eye conditions, she is committing full-time to her private practice 'Frio Eye Care,' with locations both in Central Square and Chittenango. |
Mary McCarthy, O.D.Dr. Mary McCarthy, an optometrist who has practiced in the Syracuse area for over 20 years, specializes in primary care optometry, including diagnosis and management of ocular disease. Specifically, her interest lies in working with low vision-patients, but sees a wide-range of patients.
As a native to the Syracuse area, she earned her Bachelors degree from Le Moyne College. She then went on to earn a Doctorate in Optometry from Indiana University. Shortly after that, she achieved fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry in 2007 and became a member of the American Optometric Association. You can find her at our Chittenango location!

Heather K.
Heather is one of our NYS Licensed Opticians who works at our Central Square location. She is certified under the American Board of Opticianry & National Contact Lens Examiners, Inc. (ABO-NCLE).
She has worked at the office for about a year and and has been working in the optician field for 30+ years. |

Cherish is our second NYS Licensed Optician who works at both of Central Square and Chittenango locations.
She began working at the office in late 2025 and has worked in the optician field for 20+ years. |

Meet our Customer Care Specialists!
Amanda B.Amanda B. is our scribe, technician, billing coder, and more. She has worked here for four years and counting! She has many roles and duties at Frio's. She works at both our Central Square and Chittenango locations.
She graduated from Le Moyne with a B.A. in 2007 and is currently working towards a Paraoptometric Certification.

Jessica B. is our receptionist in our Central Square office. She has worked at Frio Eye Care for 3+ years, and has previously worked in customer care for 25+ years.

Amanda P. is one of our technicians. She was brought onto the Frio team mid 2025 and has worked in the optometric field for 2 years. She works at both our Central Square and Chittenango locations.
